Welcome to Halton & District Model Flying Club

This club takes in the areas of Runcorn and Widnes and has a very long history in the model flying scene, going back to 1965. We have been flying from sites in Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn from 1974. Currently we are the only model flying club operating from sites in the Halton area.

The objectives of the club are to provide a safe, controlled environment for members to enjoy the sport of model aircraft flying and to encourage interest in aviation by providing facilities, training and development of skills in this healthy and stimulating outdoor activity to all age groups.

The club operates strictly within the regulations applicable to the sport and the guidance of the sport's national body - BMFA to ensure safety in flying. However the aim is to provide a friendly relaxed informal club.

There is an elected committee and meetings are held every 4 weeks.

The committee members for 2008 are:

  • Alan Bolton - Treasurer
  • Mike Seddon - Vice Chairman
  • Paul Griffiths - Chairman
  • Graham Hughes - Club Secretary
  • Ian Jacks - Membership Secretary
